Keeping Safe

As the world continues to get back to normal in the aftermath of Covid-19, please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to guarantee the safety of our customers and our team. Please take a look at the guidelines below so you know what to expect on your next visit to The Clifton. Our many thanks in advance for your support and cooperation.

What We're Doing

Maintaining all areas of the pub and restaurant, and all facilities, to the highest possible standard of cleanliness.

Ensuring our team are adhering to the best possible hygiene standards, including frequently washing their hands.

Ensuring that no staff member is coming to work if they display any symptoms of Covid-19, or feel unwell
Spacing out our tables to a safe social distance.

Managing bookings, party sizes and routes around the premises to ensure a safe social distance is maintained wherever possible.

Only accepting bookings of one household per table, in line with Government guidelines.

Taking customer details to support any track and trace that may be required.

Continuously monitoring and following all updated Government guidelines and information from industry governing bodies.

What We Ask Of You

Please make a booking wherever possible. You're welcome to walk in, however we have no space for you to wait for a table or stand inside should there not be a table available immediately.

Our outside tables are not bookable online, so please speak to the team directly if you would like to reserve one. Please note that, should there be adverse weather, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to move your booking inside. If you are a party of more than one household, we will not be able to move you inside at all.

Current Government guidelines specify table service only - please respect this, and your fellow guests, by not standing inside or walking up to our bar for service.

Please note that tables of up to 4 guests will have their table for 2 hours and 4-6 guests 2.5 hours.

Please only make a booking for one household and avoid mixing households when at the pub.

Children and dogs are welcome as always - whereas we'd normally be happy for them to explore the pub, we now ask you to please keep them at your table in consideration of other guests.

In line with Government guidelines, please wear a face covering at all points in the pub unless seated at your table.
